Carshen was founded by a group of successful entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley to target the booming market of online vehicle purchasing. It is a startup company since the end of 2010 by $1M seed money. It is a platform in which buyers looking for a car can connect dealers (sellers) and compare and bargain their offers in one convenient location, here on Carshen.
Carshen does not charge any fees from dealers. Carshen does not charge any fee from buyers for their first two car requests. Currently, there are around 10,000 carshen certified dealers. We provide a more efficient and effective way to minimize the cost for both buyers and dealers.

Here at CarShen, we believe in holding ourselves to the highest standard of ethics and morals. Thus, we will NEVER sell or give out your personal contact phone number or email to third-party companies who will use your information to promote their business. And your email and phone number won’t be released to any dealer before you are willing to accept carshen offer.
How does CarShen differ from other auto sites?
Carshen works by first looking for the dealers closest to you. After all, what could be better than finding a great deal in your local neighborhood? Then, we do all the hard work of "talking" to the dealers about the type of car you want and come back with a list of quotes and prices through Carshen Dealer negotiation platform and provide a detail report regarding your car specification and total price. From there, it’s up to you, the consumer, to decide what’s right for you. Unlike Kbb, Edmund or Truecar, Carshen dose not charge any commission or leads fee from dealers. This will motivate dealers to give the best price to our buyers. Normally Kbb, Edmund or Truecar will charge 300 to 500 dollars commission from their dealer for each car sold.
